Our History

GSA Direct, (Builder Direct) is a Minority and Disadvantage owned business, and was incorporated in the State of Michigan in 2012. It started as a construction company engaged in housing rehabilitation and grew to become one of the largest construction materials wholesale suppliers in the City of Detroit. GSA Direct Supply was created as a Private Site for Government Buyers. Pricing are at or lower than the products on a GSA SCHEDULE. Builder Direct, is currently applying to be listed on Schedule 51 V. GSA Direct (Builder Direct) is strategically located in the City of Detroit, servicing the entire World. The company supplies many brands of floorings, plumbing fixtures, kitchen and bath cabinets, appliances, lumber, hvac and lighting fixtures. In 2013, GSA Direct expanded to open its second office in the City of Durham, NC where we are certified HUB and MBE. We thereafter expanded to Virginia where we are certified SWAM. We seek continued growth in our customer base and partnerships throughout other states and regions.

Our Business Philosophy

GSA Direct’s philosophy is to save the Government money by providing a purchasing Vehicle to save money, also allowing the Purchasing Agency to reach Minority Spending Goals. We work closely with clients to understand their requirements and achieve their objectives. We seek clients with complex objectives, who share our values and provide opportunities for long-term relationships. An emphasis on listening to, and working with, clients, ensures an understanding of their organization, operations, requirements and special challenges, while guiding them through processes that optimize their resources.
